De Worstelrepubliek is a virtuoso, excentric and utterly original story by comics artist Nicolas de Crécy. He takes the reader to a world where pianos are propelled by their own sounds, where an assasinated villain’s head lives on by itself, and where a foulmouthed baby heads a crime family. De Crécy made De worstelrepubliek for the Japanese comics magazine Ultra Jump. To him, it was an excellent opportunity to create a manga in which the French and Japanese comics worlds meet.
